On June 15th we announced some very exciting news Windows Server will now have more frequent releases providing customers who are innovating quickly an opportunity to take advantage of new operating system capabilities at a faster pace, both in applications, particularly those built on containers and microservices, as well as in the software-defined datacenter.
Today were extremely happy to announce that the very first preview release of this new cadence is available for Windows Insiders! To access the new Windows Server preview release, you can register for the Windows Insiders for Business* program. If you dont have an Office 365 or an Azure AD account, you can also register for the Windows Insiders program with your Microsoft ID. New preview builds will be available on a regular basis, and the latest Windows Server build is always available for download. Matching Windows Server container images will be available via the Docker Hub. Get more information about Windows Server containers and Insider builds.
Watch the Windows Server blog over the coming weeks as well be blogging in detail about the new features and capabilities coming in these previews and ultimately available for production use in the Semi-annual Channel release this fall.
Its all about your feedback!
The most important part of a frequent release cycle is to hear whats working and what needs to be improved, so your feedback is extremely valued. Dont forget to register a Windows 10 device with the Windows Insider Program. That way youll be able to provide feedback via the Feedback Hub App. In the app, choose the Server category and then the appropriate subcategory for your feedback. Please indicate what edition and build number you are providing feedback on.
You can also send your feedback via the Windows Server Insiders space on the Tech Communities.
Were very excited about this release and really looking forward to hear what amazing things youre doing with the Semi-annual Channel releases of Windows Server!

* If you signed up for Windows Insiders for Business using an AAD account, there is a temporary issue with access to the Windows Server Download page using AAD accounts. If you registered using an MSA account at the Windows Insider program, your MSA account may be used to access the page and to download builds until this is resolved.
